Middlesex Mediation expands ADR team with patent lawyer, commercial and real estate trial counsel
Middlesex Mediation today announced the expansion of its alternative dispute resolution team with the addition of Russell Barron and Vincent Pisegna, bringing the firm’s panel of neutrals to nine and adding expertise in patent law, and commercial and real estate litigation. Middlesex Mediation serves the regional business community as mediators and arbitrators settling complex litigation and resolving business disputes.
Russell Barron is a patent lawyer and litigator with more than four decades of practical experience managing patent infringement litigation in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, high efficiency electric motors, power electronics, mass-spectrometry, cardiac monitors, sensors, batteries, air handling equipment, materials handling equipment, polymer chemistry and physics, surface physics, non-Newtonian fluid flo, software and other technologies. Russ was a founding partner of the IP practice of Foley & Lardner and developed that firm’s IP litigation practice.
In addition to serving as counsel in multiple patent-related arbitrations, Russ has also served as an arbitrator and mediator in patent infringement, invention ownership and software defect matters. Read his complete biography here.
Vincent Pisegna has more than forty years of experience as a commercial trial lawyer, trying more than 50 commercial cases to verdict. He has been recruited to mediate business and real estate disputes especially involving commercial property development and management, land use, interests in bankruptcy, executive employment, intellectual property, probate interests, health care, and partnership and internal corporate disputes.
Vince also has experience advising and managing matters involving professional ethics and malpractice. He was appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court to be the Vice-Chair, and then Chair, of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers (BBO) from 2015 through 2018.
